In most rural areas, people still use mechanical water meters to measure water supply. However, there are some problems in the way of payment and the application of data. Therefore, at present, many rural areas begin to phase out the mechanical water meter, and choose to use the more convenient intelligent water meter. This paper briefly introduces some precautions for you to use the intelligent water meter.
In the process of using the intelligent water meter, we need to pay attention to the following issues:
1. Measures shall be taken to prevent damage to the intelligent water meter due to adverse hydraulic conditions (cavitation, surge, water hammer).
2. In order to make the smart water meter work for a long time, the smart water meter should always be full of water. It is recommended that the tap at the water outlet should be more than 0.5m higher than the water meter.
3. The intelligent water meter shall be protected from exposure and freezing, and anti freezing measures shall be taken during freezing. The intelligent water meter shall be protected from damage caused by external environment corrosion.
4. It is recommended to determine the type, measurement characteristics and caliber of intelligent water meter according to the working conditions of water supply facilities. The expected flow shall be suitable for Q1 to Q3 flow of intelligent water meter.
5. The upstream and downstream of the intelligent water meter shall be installed with cocks or stop valves, and the straight pipe section of sufficient length and the same caliber shall be installed according to the requirements of U10, D5 (10dn, 5dn), so as to ensure accurate measurement.
6. The installation of the intelligent water meter must be in accordance with the prompts on the scale plate of the intelligent water meter: with "H" sign for horizontal installation, with "V" sign for vertical installation, and the arrow direction on the case is consistent with the flow direction of the pipeline.
